In 1995, as a senior in high school and an exchange student spreading my wings, the true power of travel consumed me for the first time. After all of that studying (5 years of French) I was IN Paris, looking up at the La Tour Eiffel, it was so surreal and completely amazing, that it brought me to tears; several trips to Paris later and it still does. Another moving travel moment in my life was watching our daughter and son run and play in Revolution Square in Havana, Cuba. Knowing that MY KIDS were running around where Castro had delivered his propaganda was beyond words.  Travelling makes sure your life will never be the same, and that is a very good thing!
