About
I grew up underneath a flight path close to Boston Logan Airport, the planes seemed close enough that I could wave to the pilots and passengers and that started my interest in travel. My travel career started after I graduated from the Travel Education Center in 1981, I've worn many hats over the years from leisure travel, corporate travel, incentive travel, small groups. Today I focus on family, groups, and destination weddings/romance travel.
I'm a Charter Member of DWHSA (Destination Weddings & Honeymoons Specialist Association) and I serve as the Treasurer/Membership/PR Manager on the Northern New England ASTA Chapter Board.
I've hiked Mount Washington in NH 3 times, Grand Canyon South Rim once, Half Dome in Yosemite National Park 1 1/2 times (second time-the Half Dome was just way too crowded with people hanging on the rails), hiked just a little bit at Haleakala Crater on the island of Maui and did this fantastic hiking & biking trip in Switzerland-that was my favorite! Being up in the Swiss Alps was pretty amazing with such breathtaking scenery.
Lots has changed in the travel industry since I started my career. But, there's one thing that hasn't changed and that's my commitment to my clients. I get to know them and find out their likes and dislikes, in addition, I continue keeping up with the latest industry trends, attend webinars/zoom meetings, yearly workshops, make sure my certifications are up-to-date and travel to site inspections. All this helps in making sure that I have the right destination and the right resort/hotel that will be the best fit for the clients. It's all about the connections and creating memories through travel.
